Suspended, Banned, and Returned

When I say 'I hate Meta' - this is why.

Meta has been promoting and using Ai for pretty much everything for at least the past five years; it's been hell to use their platforms due to the unmoderated slop, bot accounts, and allowing an ungodly amount of hate speech.

So, why am I still there? Because we have few options for social media platforms which are built, established, and actually being used.

Now, all this aside, let me explain what happened over the past twenty-four hours.

It started when I corrected an Alt-Right account on what a civilly liable means; moments later, I received comments which threatened me - so I reported the Neo-Nazi's account.

Within twelve hours, they marked the report as 'resolved' and stated his comments/threats weren't against their community standards; followed by having MY account suspended for going against community standards.

But don't worry - they told me ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about what my content went against in their community standards. Instead, I had to go through an Ai process to check if I'm human [don't think an Ai can actually figure that out], and then my account was permanently disabled with no way of appeal.

Several panic attacks later, and several people expressing outrage on multiple Meta platforms, my account was restored!

A Story In Three Pictures...

In response to this, I just want to say thank you to those who saw what happened and kicked off; and to those who offered me support, I appreciate you bigly. Also, I may not be as active on Threads as I previously was. This is a combination of the stress causing my mental health to take a dive, but also refusing to use a platform which is likely to be taken away - at any point - for simply being anti-Genocide, anti-Zionist, anti-Ai, and pro-Human Rights.

I just find it hilarious how many alt-right pundits complain about 'censorship' and 'cancellation' when they're having their content repeatedly pushed and their work promoted, while the rest of us - simply wishing to live without being oppressed - are being actively silenced, forced off platforms, and chronically shadow banned.

This isn't me running away from a fight, but changing my approach. I'll still market and list my work on Threads; I'll still be visible and active; but I'll be spending the extra time on other platforms. This is to allow me a chance to grow my community and audience on those platforms so, in the high chance of this situation happening again, people will still be able to find me elsewhere. It also means I won't have to panic about my career ending due to losing my largest platform.

Will all this said and done, please be aware I may take a small hiatus from chapter releases. I'm having a bit of a struggle after this and everything else, but I promise to come back stronger. I'll keep you updates.

For now, have a wonderful day and take care!
