It’s hard to say this, but it needs to be said.
During my hiatus, I’ve tried writing ‘Between the Lines’ and found the story was going in directions I didn’t want. The characters are a little duller than I’d like, the key scenes for the characters felt flat, and the overall gist of the plot was weak.
Because of this, I’ve decided to continue with my hiatus while I try to fix the monstrosity I’ve created. I know some have enjoyed it, others have been sad I’ve had to take the hiatus in the first place, but I simply can’t continue a book I hate as much as I do.
This book was supposed to be about navigating romance as a disabled person, and it’s turned into a weird Millionaire Romance shitstorm.
So, as my hiatus continues, ‘Between the Petals’ will be down from Inkitt while I work on fixing it. I’m so sorry to have to do this, but truly I think I can do a much better job than what I’ve done over the past few months.
As for when I’ll be back, I’m not sure yet. But I promise to keep you as up to date as possible.
